The Trampas offers an extremely rigid and stable high ride rig that is perfect for quick draw and fancy gun handling. Made with heavy leather and fully lined, the Trampas recreates the exact look and style of the original, including the special decorative stitching, number and placement of bullet loops and one-piece tapered billet on the gun belt.
The holster features a fully-exposed trigger guard design with low cut front for early barrel clearance, and again matches the original in every way. The Trampas comes standard in a rich brown finish with white stitching and heavy nickel hardware, in either right- or left-hand configurations, and will fit Colt SAAs with 4 3/4" or 5 1/2" barrels or their clones.
It is interesting to note how the dastardly villain Trampas, played by Walter Huston, who appeared in Gary Cooper's first talking picture, The Virginian, evolved into the lovable, carefree character we know from the TV series.
